Position Summary The Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems for commercial/industrial projects and service work. This role reads plans, pulls wire, bends conduit, sets equipment, and troubleshoots to NEC standards while upholding safety, quality, and schedule. Works independently or as part of a crew, coordinating with Foremen, Project Managers, and other trades. Key Responsibilities • Interpret drawings, one-lines, and specifications; lay out work to plan. • Install EMT/RMC/PVC conduit, cable tray, wire pulls/terminations, devices, panels, transformers, lighting, and controls. • Set and wire gear (switchboards, MCCs, VFDs, disconnects) and perform equipment startups with supervision. • Perform service diagnostics and repairs on panels, circuits, motors, lighting, and controls; document findings. • Verify code compliance (NEC/Local AHJ); complete redline updates and as-builts. • Use test instruments (multimeter, megger, continuity tester) to commission and troubleshoot. • Coordinate with GC and other trades; attend daily huddles; update Foreman/PM on material and manpower needs. • Maintain a clean, safe work area; follow LOTO and company safety policies; complete JHAs/permits. • Track time, materials, and change conditions; assist with punch list and closeout. • Mentor apprentices; model craftsmanship and safe work habits. Qualifications • 3+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience (apprentice or journeyman level); state Journeyman Electrician license preferred. • Strong knowledge of the NEC, electrical theory, and standard practices. • Proficient with conduit bending (hand, Chicago, hydraulic), terminations, and panel/gear work. • Experience reading blueprints/one-lines and using basic layout tools (lasers, levels). • Skilled with test equipment (multimeter, megger) and basic controls/VFD familiarity. • Current OSHA-10 (or ability to obtain within 60 days); valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights/ladders/lifts, and in various weather conditions; willing to travel to job sites as needed. • Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail; commitment to safety and quality. Nice to Have (Preferred) • Master Electrician license or NCCER certification. • Experience with PLCs/BAS/low-voltage systems, fire alarm, or generators/transfer switches. • Industrial experience (plants, healthcare, mission-critical) and familiarity with BIM/VDC workflows. The Licensed Foreman I is responsible for supervising electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : • Education : Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours) • Travel : 60-75% • Work Schedule : Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : • All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied. • Maintains current licensing and training requirements. • Demonstrates ability to run medium-size projects (5-10 electricians) effectively. • Establish expectations and motivates crews to consistently meet or beat goals. • Consistently completes projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner. • Demonstrates ability to complete basic paperwork (i.e., foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase order logs, time cards, etc.) in a timely manner. • Effectively manages resources (tools, equipment, staffing) within crew. • Reads and understands estimates, with the assistance of project management or superintendent, as a part of the installation and layout of a project. • Consistently provides feedback and coaching to crew members including utilizing the Field Evaluation form / process. • Takes the initiative to run a thorough ORM. Is conscious of safe and unsafe acts on the jobsite and addresses and eliminates hazards accordingly. Consistently enforces and promotes workplace safety procedures (weekly toolbox talks, weekly safety audits, appropriate documentation, etc.) • Actively mentors and develops others within projects and crews. • Supports usage of Faith internal resources to include, but not limited to Excellerate, Precon, APC, Productivity, Engineering, Estimating, etc. • Maintains compliance with company policies; consults with HR and / or Workforce Managers (PM if appropriate) to ensure consistent corrective measures are taken, and documentation completed. • Demonstrates excellent customer relations through utilization of effective problem-solving techniques. • Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate. • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
