POSITION DESCRIPTION This position would be supporting a multi-lab team building a Linear Induction Accelerator that will generate a high-energy electron beam to collide with a metal target generating X-rays that penetrate test objects. The team is responsible for the design, assembly, integration and commissioning of the injector modules for the LIA. The injector modules are currently being assembled in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will be installed, integrated, and commissioned at the NNSS site in North Las Vegas, Nevada. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS · High School diploma MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS · Minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical wiring experience, · Minimum of 5 years of hands on mechanical assembly experience, · Able to read schematics, wire lists, etc., · Ability to work in a diverse work environment, · Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements, · Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Previous experience on DOE sites and programs, · Electrical Engineering degree or similar, · Current L or Q Clearance desired, · Lab View Experience. LOCATION This position requires onsite, full time work (4x10 schedule, Monday - Thursday) in Albuquerque, New Mexico through approximately middle of September 2025 and then onsite, full time work in Las Vegas, Nevada until approximately April 2026. All candidates who apply must be willing to travel to and work in both locations. Regular travel will be required. Travel arrangements will be coordinated in advance, and all travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with GSA guidelines.
