Licensed applicants are required to be familiar with current NEC requirements and comfortable with planning, layout, and execution of multi family and commercial electrical work. Applicants need to be able to commit to at least 40 hours per workweek and be willing to work overtime with advanced notice, as needed. Responsibilities • Splice wires with knives or cutting pliers, and solder connections to fixtures and equipment. • Diagnose or repair problems with electronic equipment in motor vehicles. • Inspect, test, and install electrical or electronic systems to locate and diagnose malfunctions, using visual inspections and testing instruments such as voltmeters. • Run new electrical cables. • Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures and equipment, using electric drills. • Replace and clean electrical or electronic components. • Remove seats, carpeting, and interiors of doors; add sound-absorbing material in empty spaces; and reinstall interior parts. • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools. • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, using hand tools or power tools. • Plan, layout, and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Other duties as needed to meet Production requirements.
