From small projects like installing handrails, doors or windows, to larger jobs like bathroom and kitchen remodels all the way to full additions and building ADUs. You will learn all phases of construction and have the opportunity to grow into a journeyman level carpenter. If your skillset is applying for a carpenter’s position you must be willing to learn and develop the skills to work with multiple employees, customers, building products and have some practical experience. Examples of some desirable skills include: The ability to be proficient in multiple phone app platforms for time, materials and job tracking The ability to use hand and power tool, including drills, saws, nails guns, chisels, sanders, etc. Communicate clearly with the customers to include good written, verbal, follow up and telephone communications skills. Excellent human-relations skills – a sense of humor, a quick smile and thick skin. Basic skills in reading, writing and math.
