Specifically for Tapani Inc., a carpenter builds and strips concrete formwork. This is a leadman position that requires extensive previous experience in the industry and ability to support and lead other team members in the field. Responsibility • Follow blueprints and plans • Ensure efficiency and productivity to try and meet bid productions • Lead and direct crew daily • Make decisions about what tools to use, how much help is needed, and what type of material is needed • Build and rig formwork • Pour concrete • Rough wood framing • Help erect, level, plumb, and install framework • Run forklift Job Requirements and Qualifications • High school education or equivalent • 5+ years experience working in the concrete industry • Forklift certification • Obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, Competent Person, Erosion and Sediment Control, Rigging and Signaling • Use hand tools, cut straight, build straight • Ability to adapt to new and changing work environments • Ability to communicate with the foreman and superintendent on projects • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry 50-100lbs Working Environment • Working conditions for this position will be on project site, locally and possibly out of town • Employee must be physically able to perform job duties which may include but not limited to heavy lifting and constant standing • Hours worked will be weather dependent along with schedule requirements. Carpenter Foreman Job in Richland Mayor Construction is a reputable residential and commercial construction company dedicated to delivering quality work and meeting project schedules. We provide a supportive work environment that fosters growth and development. Responsibilities • Putting work in place; this is a bags-on role, executing framing carpentry, while also lining out other crew members and sub trades Participation in quality control for all scopes of work – self performed as well as subcontracted • Collaborate with subcontractors to find solutions; come to the superintendent with possible solutions to problems, be willing to come to the table prepared and engaged in the process • Being able to run small projects as a working lead; and coordinate crew to maximize productivity • Working with the superintendent to create a daily schedule and take responsibility for its execution • Minimizing material use to prevent waste and unnecessary cost • Managing material deliveries, handling, storage, and placement • Being a positive advocate for safety in action and attitude; reinforce awareness to reduce the risk of injury or citation and know OSHA requirements for your location and site. Requirements • Travel to Spokane and Coeur d’Alene is Required • Minimum 5 years of construction experience. • Minimum 3 years of Foreman or similar leadership role. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings • License, transportation, and insurable driving required. • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. • The ability to communicate in Spanish at a conversational level is highly preferred Pay • Competitive hourly rates start from $30 to $40 per hour, based on experience.
