This role is responsible for building and setting up formwork systems used to mold concrete for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other structural elements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in civil or commercial construction environments and is familiar with modern formwork systems and safety procedures. You will be working for a company that builds wastewater treatment facilities. Primary Responsibilities • To assist fellow carpenters in constructing edge forms and gang forms. Need to be proficient with layout, and general carpentry skills. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine job specifications. • Construct, install, and dismantle wooden, metal, and prefabricated formwork used to mold concrete structures. • Measure and cut materials to the required specifications using hand and power tools. • Build forms for concrete pours in foundations, walls, columns, slabs, bridges, and other civil structures. • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and formwork requirements. • Ensure that forms are properly aligned, braced, and secured to support wet concrete. • Coordinate with concrete crews during pouring and finishing. • Inspect completed formwork for accuracy, strength, and safety compliance. • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and safe condition.
