See More Details >>JOB LOCATION: Goldsboro, NC POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform general construction tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, bridge, and heavy construction projects. May operate hand and power tools of all types: saws, air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces, erect forms to support concrete, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1) Operate saws, hammers, drills and other power tools as required. 2) Position, join, align, and set stick built or manufactured form systems. 3) Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers; and mix, pour, and spread concrete. 4) Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. 5) Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. 6) Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. 7) Ability to use all tools associated with carpentry work (Tape Measure, hammer, square, level etc.) to stick build formwork and falsework. 8) Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. 9) Load, unload building materials, machinery, and tools. 10) Work long, flexible hours as demanded by our customers including nights, weekends, and work outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year. 11) Perform necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures. 12) Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager. 13) Must have regular and predictable attendance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. • Must be a minimum of 21 years old and valid driver license. Work Experience: • Minimum of two (2) years' working experience in bridge construction is required.
