Responsibilities: Carpentry Duties: • Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, door and window installation, and decking. • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials. • Erect scaffolding and ladders as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed. • Perform some plumbing tasks such as installing sinks and toilets. • Perform some electrical tasks such as installing new lights, light switches and outlets. • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. • Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion. • Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes. Laborer Duties: • Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.) as needed. • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment. • Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and hazardous materials. • Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth. • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., drills, saws, grinders, hammers, shovels). • Perform demolition work as required. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. • Follow all company safety policies and procedures. • Assist with general site clean-up and organization at the end of each workday. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Proven experience as a carpenter and/or construction laborer (minimum 3 years experience preferred). • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry and construction. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures. • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects up to 80 lbs, and work in various weather conditions. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Reliable transportation to and from job sites. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Valid driver's license. • Must be insurable on the company's insurance.
