Manufacturing Carpenter

Job Title: Manufacturing Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Carpenter to fabricate and build wooden skids for housing coiled metal products. This role requires the operation of chop and table saws, as well as the use of pneumatic air guns to assemble skids. The process is repetitive, though skid sizes may vary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met by following basic directions and measurements. Responsibilities • Operate chop and table saws to cut wood. • Utilize various hand and power tools effectively. • Safely lift and move materials to the workstation. • Follow basic directions and measurements to meet production goals. Essential Skills • Experience in production and general labor. • Proficient in carpentry and using pneumatic nail guns. • Ability to carry and lift up to 50 lbs. • Proficient in using and reading tape measures and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential. • Ability to withstand temperature changes due to different seasons. • Required to stand and walk for up to 10 hours in various weather conditions. • Ability to hear and see at both close distance and peripherally. • Ability to wear all proper PPE, including steel toe boots, hard hat, safety gloves, eye protection, and ear protection. Work Environment Work is conducted on the 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 3:30 pm, with 5-10 hours of overtime weekly. The environment is non-climate controlled within an industrial steel manufacturing facility. Proper protective equipment is required, including steel toe boots, hard hats, and safety gloves. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
