Description: Nichols Contracting, Inc. Head Carpenters for Touring Productions

Reports To The Head Carpenter reports to the Production Manager and works closely with the Company Manager and Stage Manager. Job Overview The Head Carpenter is responsible for advancing with venues, loading in and out the show, ensuring the performances run safely, acting as the supervisor for the touring crew (between eight and sixteen people), and is ultimately the supervisor of the local provided labor crew of thirty-five to sixty people. This position is the supervisor of every member in all technical departments.
