Commercial Carpenter Job Description We are seeking experienced commercial carpenters to join our team in Allentown and surrounding areas. This role requires versatile individuals with over 4 years of carpentry experience who are eager to work on various phases of each project, including rough ins, finish and trim work, and demo work. Responsibilities • Perform carpentry tasks including framing, finish carpentry, and drywall installation. • Work on different phases of construction projects, from rough ins to finish and trim work. • Read and interpret blueprints to execute project plans accurately. • Install doors, hardware, and metal studs as required. • Conduct demolition work when necessary. • Utilize hand and power tools efficiently and safely. Essential Skills • 4+ years of carpentry experience. • Proficiency in construction, carpentry, framing, and finish carpentry. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and commercial construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working on commercial projects such as warehouses, medical centers, and data centers. • Knowledge of wood framing, steel stud framing, and drywall installation. • Capability to perform general labor tasks and work with general contractors. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Your responsibilities as the Machine Operator B will be: • Perform cutting operations according to programs and customer specifications • Perform quality checks on materials to ensure the product meets customer specifications. • Unload finished cut foam material and transport to next production area. • Place excess trim material in baler. • Maintain communication with line personnel to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum • Record pertinent information of programs. • Operate baler - bale and secure trim material from baler. • Cross-train to operate other cutting equipment as needed. • Other duties as deemed necessary by supervision. Skills / Requirements • High school diploma or GED. • Prior experience as a machine operator. • Forklift operator certification preferred. • Specific on the job training is provided. • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations. • Must have basic reading, writing and math skills. • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure. • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. • Must be able to work with little or no supervision Must be able to work flexible hours, some weekends, and holidays as needed. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Schedule may vary dependent upon project needs.
