Responsibilities: • Project Execution: Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including: • Rough Carpentry: Framing walls, installing blocking, and structural work. • Finish Carpentry: Precision installation of kitchen and bathroom cabinets, trim, doors, and other custom millwork. • Tile Work: Install various types of tile for floors, backsplashes, and showers. • Drywall: Proficient in all phases of drywall work, including patching, hanging, and finishing. • On-Site Management: • Act as the primary on-site lead for residential renovation projects. • Schedule and manage subcontractors and other trades (plumbers, electricians, etc.) to ensure a smooth workflow. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Logistics and Sourcing: • Efficiently pick up project materials from suppliers, including lumber, drywall, tile, paint, and other necessary supplies. • Quality and Precision: • Ensure all installations, especially kitchen cabinets, are done with extreme precision and a focus on fit and finish. • Team Collaboration & Communication: • Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers. • Display professionalism, diplomacy, and excellent customer relations skills on every job site. • Proactively identify and solve problems with efficiency and a positive attitude. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional carpentry experience, with a proven track record of completing high-quality residential projects - Kitchens, and Bathrooms a must. • Versatility: Must be proficient in both rough and finish carpentry. • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret floor plans, technical drawings, etc. • Cabinetry Expertise: Proven experience in the precise and high-quality installation of kitchen cabinets. • Trade Skills: Proficiency in light electrical and plumbing work. • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and time management skills to keep projects on schedule and within budget. • Independent Work: Ability to work independently and manage a project from start to finish with minimal supervision. • Tools & Equipment: Must have your own tools and a reliable work truck capable of hauling materials. • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship are non-negotiable. The Carpenter will be responsible for performing general and specialized carpentry tasks, ensuring that all structures, fixtures, and finishes meet safety, quality, and aesthetic standards. Work may include emergency repairs, scheduled renovations, and capital improvement projects, in coordination with maintenance and property services teams. SCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures such as framing, doors, windows, walls, staircases, cabinetry, and molding. • Perform drywall installation and finishing, trim work, and interior/exterior repairs. • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Read blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to determine project specifications. • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. • Collaborate with other trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) during multi-scope projects. • Accurately track and report materials used, hours worked, and progress made.
