Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman Position Summary The Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman reports to the Senior Operations Manager (Sr OM) and is a member of the company’s Field Operations Team. The following positions report to the Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman: Onsite Field Staff, Shop Steward. The Site Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman is responsible for the onsite scheduling and implementation of Wallworks field personnel and subcontractors, as well as the management and distribution of Wallworks tools. This position includes responsibility for communication and reporting to the corporate office and for collaboration with the VP of Operations, Senior Operations Manager, Field Managers, Safety Manager, and Estimating. The Site Foreman is considered to be a representative of Wallworks on Projects. The Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman is responsible for achieving the defined project goals and adhering to the professional standards of Wallworks. Success is defined by the following 5 categories: 1. Quality – Producing the highest quality product to meet the customer’s needs 2. Safety – Ensuring Employee safety with a goal of zero lost days due to injury 3. Schedule – Ensuring each project has the proper level of employee and subcontractors to meet the project schedule 4. Tools and Equipment – Ensure each project has the proper tools and equipment for tasks at hand and all tools and equipment are accounted for and working 5. Customer Satisfaction – Manage the customer relationship to achieve positive customer feedback and retention Responsibilities The Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman assumes overall responsibility of the assigned project for scheduling of Wallworks employees, subcontractors, tools and equipment while delivering a high quality of service and project deliverables while staying on schedule and within budget for projects assigned. Responsibilities include: • Project Scheduling: o Collaboration of 2-week schedule with Field Manager o Implementation of Wallworks long term schedule and review with Sr OM/Field Manager o Communicate employee and subcontractor scheduling with FM and PMs o Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to executive management. Ensures effective implementation of solutions/changes. o Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. o Ensure daily work schedules to field employees are implemented • Tools and Equipment: o Submit Tools and Equipment requests to FM and Sr OM o Inventory and Maintain Site Tools and Equipment o Inventory of deliveries / Review pick tickets for purchase orders o Manage Tools and Equipment to prevent damage and theft o Report damaged Tools and Equipment as well as theft o Manage/Distribute tools and equipment to employees at job sites o Scheduling deliveries prior to work commencing o Management of Wallworks onsite sundries and their inventory levels • Communications: o Daily contact with Wallworks Foreman, Project Managers, and Sr OM o Maintains communication with project team o Attend Weekly or Bi-weekly job meeting at sites o Attends project kickoff and close-out meetings internally and with customers o Report employee warnings to HR • Safety: o Submit Safety Equipment requests to FM/Sr OM o Review of Jobsite safety plans, JHAs, etc.. o Monitor safe work environment o Perform Safety inspections as required • Field Employee Management o Monitor employee production o Coordinating and scheduling weekly work schedules for employee, subcontractors, tools and equipment o Weekly review of Wallworks Field employee timecards o Provide field employee feedback on production o Review Field Employee performance with Sr OM o Ensure field personnel are working efficiently o Provide ideas and plans to produce final product using alternate methods o Employee Discipline ▪ Monitor and report Warnings to HR for the below • Attendance • Handbook Violations • Safety Violations • Vehicle Violations ▪ Termination recommendations discussed with Sr OM and HR • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance • Other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Professional development assistance • Referral program • Relocation assistance • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Schedule: • Day shift • Monday to Friday People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
