Job Title: Carpenter Job Description: Build, assemble, and repair structures using wood, concrete, wallboard, plastics, and steel. Essential Job Functions to include but not limited to: • Follow safety rules and regulations in order to maintain a safe and clean worksite. • Comply with company policies and objectives. • Utilize company vehicles for the transportation of personnel and materials as needed. • Evaluate project requirements. • Perform various carpentry tasks including selective demolition when required. • Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports as necessary. • Perform tasks safely at various heights and possibly in confined spaces. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Proficient in the use of both hand and power tools. • Experience with operating motor vehicles and heavy equipment. • Effective communication skills. • Ability to work independently and/or as part of the team. Education and Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent post secondary education. • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as driving is an essential function of this position. • Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen Tool Requirements: • Must be able to supply and maintain a standard set of carpentry tools. Physical Requirements: • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, climbing, and bending.
