Duties: - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications - Coordinate and supervise a team of carpenters and laborers to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects - Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members to ensure quality workmanship - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to plan and execute construction projects - Estimate materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project - Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budget - Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control standards - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols on job sites - Troubleshoot issues that arise during construction and provide solutions Experience: - Proven experience as a Carpenter Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team - Solid understanding of carpentry and concrete techniques, tools, and materials - Ability to interpret project specifications and communicate them to the team - Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and craftsmanship - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Job Duties • Complies with all aspects of the Safety Programs established at the Medical Center including safety testing. • Conducts the business and affairs of the Medical Center in a manner consistent with Ascension Health/GSRMC Standards of Conduct. • Provides maintenance on buildings, building hardware, plant fluid systems, and plumbing components to ensure proper operations. • Establishes and maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, and parts; requisitions repair parts and ensures proper delivery and receipt of same. • Maintains, repairs, and installs roof and exterior covering of hospital; removes, installs, and repairs floor coverings and baseboards. • Participates in preparation for JCAHO, State Licensure, and other regulatory agencies' surveys, site visits, and audits. • Provides construction activities in all aspects of building structures and systems. • Prepares and submits preliminary drawings, designs, and sketches outlining proposals. • Provides Preventive Maintenance (PM) on plant equipment, plant systems, building structures, and building equipment.
