Production Welder -2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities: Perform general manufacturing processes which may include the following. • Work from complex blueprints, sketches, weld symbols, and process sheets to establish procedures and sequence of operations; perform setups of tooling and fixtures, as well as layouts of components to be welded. • Identify and/or devise basic tooling. • Weldment must meet quality standards. • Perform own material handling and follow good housekeeping and safety practices. • Maintain welding equipment and work area for a safe and efficient operation. • Initiate corrective action to resolve fairly complex problems, and report major malfunctions and continuing difficulties to supervisor. • Assist others as directed. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required. . • Press buttons, pull levers, or depress pedals to start and operate cutting and slicing machines. • Adjust machine controls to alter position, alignment, speed, or pressure. The position requires the employee to stand and/or sit for long periods and to lift up to 50# frequently. Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have production welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate welding proficiency. Welder Full Time

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements. Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts. Builds up worn or defective surfaces. Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred but not necessary 1 year experience welding mild steel and aluminum. Will Train. Must be able to lift 50 - 75 lbs. Must be able to use measuring devices. Must be able to do standing, bending, twisting and lifting required for 8 or more hours per day. Must pass welding test. Must be able to follow directions and procedures. Must be able to have own transportation arrangements to and from work. Must be able to work four, ten hour days in a row.
