Key Job Responsibilities • Welds metal parts together on subassembly and production lines using the metal core GMAW gas, metal arc welding and submerged arc process, and performs related tasks, such as cutting and grinding. • Interprets and reads drawings to ensure proper weld sequencing and weld sizing to complete work. • Inspects work and related work of others and reports any defects or discrepancies to supervision immediately. • Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. • Operates overhead cranes, Jib cranes, or forklifts safely in order to move and set large parts to machine or fixture. Qualifications/Requirements • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of one (1) year welding experience required. Welding certification preferred. • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, power tools etc. • Some standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds. • Forklift certification preferred. • Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company. • Incumbent may be required to work overtime as required to meet schedules. • Must comply with all environmental, quality, and safety rules, practices, and standards.
