Job Description Summary Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assemble and TIG weld aerospace castings and details • Use fixtures, tools, and gauges to produce aerospace parts meetings blueprint drawing tolerances • Follow detailed work instructions • Practice weld procedures per GE and Nadcap/AWS specifications • Work in a team environment, participate in Action Workouts, and contribute to the LEAN Manufacturing workplace • Practice safe work habits and maintain a hazard-free work environment QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: • Must have minimum of two years Gas Tungsten Arc (Heliarc) welding experience • Pass Gas Tungsten Arc Weld test on nickel base, cobalt base and stainless steel alloys (groove and fillet welding per MIL-W-1595) • Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency • Must be able to complete qualification training on nickel and cobalt per AWS D17.1 • Good attendance, attitude and work habits will be required • Employee must have no disqualifications on his/her record for the past six months Desirable Qualifications: • Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency Additional Information: • If you are a qualified individual with a disability or a disabled veteran, you have the right to request a reasonable accommodation for purposes of participating in the application/hiring process with GE. Welder/Fabricator – Structural Steel

Job Summary: We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our small but fast-paced steel fabrication shop. This is a hands-on role that requires blueprint reading, part layout, welding, and occasional field installation work. Our projects primarily involve structural steel buildings, so experience with heavy steel and jobsite welding is essential. Opportunities for leadership and supervisory growth are available for the right candidate. Responsibilities: • Read and interpret structural and architectural blueprints. • Layout, cut, and weld steel components according to project specifications. • Operate forklifts, skytracks, and other heavy equipment safely and effectively. • Perform field installations, including welding at elevated heights (1–2 stories max). • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper function and safety. • Ensure work meets quality standards and is completed on time. • Collaborate with shop and field crews to keep projects running smoothly. • Follow all safety protocols and industry codes. Qualifications: • Proven welding/fabrication experience, especially with structural steel. • Proficient in FCAW (flux-core arc welding) and other standard welding processes. • Comfortable working with heavy materials and in elevated positions. • Strong blueprint reading and layout skills. • Familiar with rigging, hand tools, and fabrication equipment. • Experience operating forklifts, skytracks, and similar machinery. • Basic math skills and understanding of tolerances and quality control. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Supervisory experience and references a plus but not required.
