We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented welder/fabricator to join our team. As a welder/fabricator you will play a crucial role in repairing equipment and building specialized tools. This position requires the ability to work alone most of the time, a willingness to go to jobsites on occasion to make repairs on heavy equipment, and be competent and confident in your abilities. Responsibilities: • Read and gather accurate measurements • Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions • Use experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals • Collaborate with team members to complete projects, troubleshoot, resolve issues, on time and within budget • Fabricate large scale projects • Repair heavy duty trucks & equipment using stick/MIG/TIG welding • Set up and install welding components/equipment according to set specs • Receive and follow instructions and communicate with co workers effectively • Document daily work and progress • Read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines & complete assignments safely • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment • Maintain a clean and safe workplace • Perform other duties as assigned Experience: • Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder or similar role • Proficient in MIG/TIG welding techniques • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools effectively • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings • Experience with plasma cutting • Familiarity with using micrometers and other precision measuring tools • Experience operating fork lifts is a plus • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work • Knowledge of Air Arc gouging would be a plus. Job Title: Welder Reports to: Weld Lead Department: Welding Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Summary: Creates quality cabinet welds according to product specification and blueprints. Resolves problems and notifies supervisor of deficiencies and issues regarding completion. Essential Responsibilities: • Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols). • Inspect welds for accuracy. • Set up equipment and weld parts together using TIG, MIG, gas welding, brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. • Change wire, welding, as needed; Change gas tanks, as needed • Responsible for the proper stacking, identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location. • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use. • Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by RMF standards. • Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required. • Perform simple maintenance and repair as required • Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment - running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts • Grinding and DA of parts welded • Continuous improvement, quality, and safety Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
