Welder (1st Shift)

The Fabrications Welder is responsible for TIG welding various stainless-steel fittings and tubing to print specifications. Job Responsibilities: • Reviews blueprints and other specification papers before starting work on a welding process and during the steps to assure accurate completion. • Selects TIG welding equipment, such as torch, torch tip and filler rod according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material. • Tack welds parts to ensure that all parts on the order are properly aligned and fitted. • TIG welds stainless steel fittings and tubing together into spools, manifolds, and miscellaneous custom fittings per print specifications. • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. • Maintains weld recording and logging records. • Performs borescope inspection for weld defects • Visual weld inspection using fillet gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and weld fixtures. • Strict attention to detail and production of high-quality parts. • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE. • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times. • Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities: • Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentations (work orders, drawings, and specifications). • Ability to follow work instructions and work well in a team. • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. • Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments. Education & Experience: • HS Diploma or equivalent • At least 2 years of TIG welding experience. • Orbital welding experience a plus Physical Requirements: • Must be able to pass standard vision test; Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced. • Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, and different climate temperatures. • Occasionally lifts 25 – 45 lbs. • Must be able to stand for prolonged time periods. • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.

Field Mechanic Welder

Your responsibilities The Field Mechanic/Welder installs and repairs equipment and machinery in industrial facilities by performing the following duties: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install, repair, replace, and dismantle machinery according to blueprint specifications. • Act as signal person for A-C employed crane operators to ensure continuity of safety on the worksite. • Use hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs to perform tasks. • Fit bearings, align gears and wheels and attach motors. • Welding: Join steel materials with various arc welding processes to form a permanent bond. • Cutting: Use heat from burning gases or an electric arc to cut and trim metal objects to specific dimensions. • Move equipment and materials to different locations using a forklift and/or manlift. • Demonstrate a commitment to safety. • Please note the duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and could change with or without notice. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your profile Required Education & Experience: High School degree or General Education degree (GED) and 1-2 years welding experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Flux core Arc Welding (FCAW) must pass a qualification test. Required Knowledge & Skills: • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Preferred Qualifications: • Certified Welder. • Experience with welding on heavy plate steel/structural steel. • Prior experience working in construction industry/activities in a Cement, Paper, or Mineral/Aggregate processing environment. • Dedication to safe and environmentally compliant work. • Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations. • Able to show initiative and decisiveness. • Work well within a team environment.
