Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role requires precision and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for creating high-quality metal components and structures for our awning and canopy line. The Fabricator/Welder will work with various materials, mainly aluminum and some steel when welding frames, with this you will have to weld canvas together to form the canopies we are installing year round. Everything here can be taught and trained. Duties • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications, and have recommendations when communicating with Sales Team. • Perform welding tasks. • Fabricate metal according to design specifications, ensuring high quality and accuracy. • Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions of parts. • Operate machinery including scissors lifts, and forklifts. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards. • Follow all safety protocols when operating equipment or handling materials. Qualifications • Proven experience in welding and fabrication; familiarity aluminum welding preferred. • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings. • Strong basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations. • Experience with machining processes is a plus. • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to pass required weld tests associated with applicable welding standards. GMAW Certification or 3-5 years of equivalent experience. STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience welding large, heavy industrial equipment. Experience welding with stainless steel filler metal and associated equipment.
