2nd Shift Welder

Job Overview We are seeking a 2nd shift "3:30pm to 1am" skilled MIG- Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques, including MIG and FCAW, and possess a strong understanding of fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Welder will work primarily in a manufacturing environment, contributing to the assembly of high-quality products while adhering to safety standards and ASME codes. Responsibilities • Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. • Conduct pipe threading and ductwork installation as required by project specifications. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products around the worksite. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards. • Inspect completed welds for quality assurance using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. • Engage in continuous learning of new welding techniques and technologies relevant to the industry. Requirements • Proven experience in MIG welding; additional skills in TIG welding are a plus but not required. • Familiarity with fabrication processes, including assembly, machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and operating press brake machines. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. • Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of rigging practices. • Proficient in basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during projects. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Commitment to following safety guidelines and ASME codes & standards throughout all tasks.
