Job Title: Fabrication Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at interpreting blueprints and drawings, taking or reading measurements, and planning layout and procedures. This role requires determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements, and setting up components for welding according to specifications. Responsibilities • Interpret blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures. • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. • Set up components for welding according to specifications, including cutting material with powered saws to match measurements. • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. • Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces securely. • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions such as vertical, horizontal, or overhead. • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. • Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills • 3+ years of welding experience. • 2+ years of experience with hand and power tools. • 2+ years of experience interpreting welding blueprints. • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding. • Ability to carry 10-50 lbs frequently. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Must own personal welding equipment including gloves and face shield. • Ability to work effectively with the team and start contributing immediately.
