Production Welder/Fabricator

Melfred Borzall is a 3rd generation manufacturing company eagerly seeking a driven candidate to join our team. From our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on California’s Central Coast, we design, produce, and sell tools that are a key component to the successful installation of underground utilities. For this full-time position, we are seeking a highly motivated individual who excels both independently and in teams. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of welding projects by interpreting blueprints, following detailed instructions, preparing and welding components for our tools, and fostering a safe and efficient work atmosphere. Use any necessary procedure of gas, inert gas-arc, electric arc process in welding metals and metal alloys. Perform welding on various surfaces including overhead, horizontal, vertical and circular, working to the most rigid specifications. Weld utilizing two or more processes, parts and assemblies as; those of light and heavy gauge material, those having areas difficult of access, those subject to high pressure or stress, those where extreme care must be exercised to prevent leaks and cracks, and those which are to be machined to exacting tolerance and overall penetration must be uniform. Perform rework as required. With a minimum amount of training must be able to be certified in manual metal arc welding overhead and vertical unlimited thickness.
