Welder/Fabricator

TurnKey Industries has designed and built state-of-the-art trailers and transporters for a variety of industries. We have extensive experience building technologically advanced trailers in the oil and gas industry. That same expertise is applied to every trailer we manufacture. Our customer’s imagination, our expertise, together creates limitless possibilities. We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Welder / Fabricator who will join our team of skilled craftsmen in the production of high-quality finished manufactured trailers. This position will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and ensuring the structural integrity of various finished products. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations. Work performed will be on customized trailers built from ground up. Hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Duties & Responsibilities • Perform TIG welding operations on finished manufactured trailers according to established specifications, blueprints, and work instructions • Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, materials, and gases for each specific job • Clean, prepare, and inspect surfaces to be welded, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment of components • Execute precise welding techniques to join metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials, maintaining a high standard of quality and craftsmanship • Monitor and adjust welding parameters as needed to achieve desired results while ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and appearance • Collaborate with other team members, including fabricators and quality control personnel, to achieve project goals and maintain consistent product quality • Perform weld post-processing tasks, such as grinding, polishing, and finishing, to meet aesthetic and functional requirements • Operate machinery and tools related to welding and fabrication • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working order and perform regular maintenance to maximize production • Document work performed, materials used, and any relevant production data accurately and consistently • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure employees follow safety guidelines and perform duties in a safe manner • Observe all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and properly use equipment • Maintain open communication with team members and leadership • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required • Performs other job-related duties as assigned Requirements • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) • Three(3) or more years of TIG welding experience • Have a valid GTAW certification • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity • Basic reading and writing skills • Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities • In-depth knowledge of TIG welding techniques, metallurgy, and properties of different materials • Ability to perform welds on a variety of metals and materials to include aluminum and steel, while maintaining structural integrity and appearance • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work • Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, team environment • Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines • Demonstrate the ability to safely set up, operate, and maintain tools and equipment • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions • Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the field. • Ability to lift and move up to 50 – 100 lbs. • Physical stamina required for position and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, etc. The forementioned statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or tasks that may be required.
