TIG Welder

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Level 2 Welder has a deeper understanding of the Welder Level 1 position, and job description. He/she is one that works with minimal supervision, and has three to five years of experience in the trade. This job description is not necessarily all-inclusive. Other job duties may be assigned, and/or area(s) of focus may change according to business needs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform all Welder 1 job duties, responsibilities and requirements. • Ability to identify and repair flaws in most metal objects at an intermediate level. • Frequently analyzing and solving intermediate problems. • Inspection of own parts with little to no supervision. • Barcoding of all jobs for time management & tracking is required. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPEREINCE • Three to five years of welding experience. Preferred • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Preferred • Vocational welding classes a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Considered to have working knowledge of set-up in their field. • Ability to problem solve at this level becomes an occasional event. • Ability to set-up and operate multiple processes and or machines in their department. • Minimizing the risk of injury before it happens or preventing future events. • Minimizing the risk of defects that occur and suggesting prevention measures for future defects. • Ability to use, theory, formulas, programming, paperwork maintenance. • Flexible to work in other areas when needed. • Intermediate knowledge of weld symbols and print interpretations. • Intermediate level of MIG & TIG. • Follows written & verbal instructions. • Welds aluminum or steel / thick & thin gage material. • Some robotic programming knowledge. • Aluminum Mig welding a plus. • Can hold .030 tolerances. • Can weld with penetration knowledge. • Can Tig weld thin gage stainless steel. • Knowledge of tweaking parts. • Ability to work with limited supervision. • Can train others for growth. • Builds for quality and customer satisfaction. • Must always use the required PPE when on the job. • Must always take safety into consideration when on the job. • Use of hand tools including sanders, grinders, and industrial welding equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS WORK ENVIRONMENT • Ability to work standing or sitting for an 8-hour shift. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. • May need to be moving parts that weigh 50lb from one location to another throughout the day. Welder - TIG

Welder II – San Jose & Fremont Experience Level: 3–5 years About the Role We are seeking an experienced Welder II to join our team. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the capability to perform intermediate welding tasks across multiple materials and processes. The Welder II also supports quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs. Key Responsibilities • Independently completing intermediate-level welding tasks. • Set up and operate multiple welding processes and machines. • Identify, analyze, and repair flaws in metal components. • Inspect own parts with little to no supervision. • Read and interpret weld symbols, prints, and work instructions. • Weld aluminum, steel, thick and thin gauge materials using MIG and TIG. • Hold tolerances up to .030 and apply proper penetration techniques. • Perform tack welding for robotic welding operations; some robotic programming experience is a plus. • Maintain quality standards, document work, and barcode all jobs for time tracking. • Follow all safety rules, use required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area (6S). • Use hand tools including grinders, sanders, and industrial welding equipment. • Support cross-training initiatives and help train others as needed. Qualifications • 3–5 years of welding experience (required/preferred based on your company’s standard). • High school diploma or GED (preferred). • Vocational welding training a plus. • Intermediate MIG/TIG skills, including aluminum MIG and thin-gauge stainless TIG. • Working knowledge of welding setups, metallurgy, print interpretation, and inspection tools. • Ability to solve intermediate welding problems and make recommendations to prevent defects. • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain paperwork and job documentation. • Reliable, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision. #INDSJ Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour Work Location: In person
