Welder

SA Recycling is looking for a Welder who will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a metal recycling shredder and other metal recycling equipment as needed. The welder will be responsible for fabricating and joining metals and other materials, using the appropriate equipment; following all established safety precautions; have the ability to work at heights and with odd angles; have a steady hand and a great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is also highly desired. This position will work outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Working hours are from 7:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday's as needed. SA Recycling offers: • Competitive Pay • Full time positions with Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance • 401k with a Company Match • Weekly Pay • Referral Incentives • Company provided uniforms and PPE • Eligible for Safety and Profitability Bonuses RESPONSIBILITIES OF WELDER • Performs repair and maintenance assignments for a metal recycling shredder and other industrial equipment. • Welds various steel components with ARC and MIG welding equipment. • Cut, trim, fit and fabricate metal components to fit specific dimensions. • Perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts. • Maintains accurate records of all work performed. • Work from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions. • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards. QUALIFICATIONS OF A WELDER • High school diploma or GED; graduation from a trade school preferred. • 5+ years' experience in welding processes such as MIG, stick, and torch welding on a variety of materials. • Recycling industry experience preferred. • Advanced knowledge of welding fabrication tools and techniques. • Knowledge of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices; understanding of potential job hazards. • Ability to safely work at varying heights, in tight quarters, and varying positions. • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
