Job Summary Granatelli Motor Sports, x Indy car team actively seeking a Master Fabricator to join our build team. This is not your typical production shop—we’re looking for an experienced, passionate craftsman with a creative mindset and a deep mechanical understanding. Our projects range from high-performance street cars and street rods to NHRA Pro Mod and Pro Stock vehicles. Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: In-person – Oxnard, CA Pay: Competitive, based on experience Duties & Responsibilities • Lead fabrication on high-end custom builds including street cars, hot rods, and race cars. • Weld and fabricate with a variety of materials (steel, stainless, aluminum, chromoly) at a master level. • Interpret technical drawings and engineer custom components with precision and creativity. • Collaborate closely with our engineering and racing teams to meet tight deadlines and build specs. • Assist in fitment, mock-ups, chassis design, and final assembly of show-quality and competition-grade vehicles. • Problem-solve on the fly—think outside the box when designing and fabricating one-off parts. • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workspace while working independently. Qualifications • Must be proficient in TIG and MIG welding across all automotive-grade materials. • Minimum 3 years of experience in custom fabrication for performance or motorsport vehicles. • Mechanically inclined—must have hands-on understanding of vehicle systems and performance parts. • Creativity is a must—we're building high-end, one-off vehicles, not stamping parts. • Ability to read, modify, and fabricate from technical blueprints and sketches. • Strong work ethic with the ability to self-direct and take initiative. • Not looking for production welders—this is custom work at the highest level. • Experience with tubing benders, notchers, shears, and other fabrication tools. • A passion for motorsports, racing culture, and pushing the limits of performance.
