The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding and finishing equipment. A welder is also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as needed. VALUES Innovation Commitment & Passion Integrity Team & Relationships DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs TIG welding on stainless steel material Read and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements Able to cut, blend, cope and fit-up components, producing tight/ near-zero gaps for weldment Assembles components in jigs or fixtures Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions Examines weld for bead size and other specifications Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes Cleans excess weld, slag, and spatter Works collaboratively with coworkers to produce high-quality products and meet customer expectations Assist in other areas of the business including but not limited to: PVC weld, fabrication, crating, etc. in down times Other duties as assigned ATTRIBUTES Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Ability to read and interpret document furnished in written, oral, diagram Be able to read and interpret blueprints Must be able to read a tape measure Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents and vcse versa Ability to perform TIG welding on stainless steel material Ability to use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances Must be able to identify and measure material QUALIFICATIONS Experienced welding and blending stainless steel Associate degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training with a high school diploma or GED Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (on occasion) and must be able to assist team members in repetitively heavy lifting. Basic computer knowledge Ability to read blueprints Experience in custom manufacturing preferred Must maintain a dependable and reliable work schedule and attendance record The target hourly range is $24.50 - $29.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
