THE ROLE: In this role you will process a variety of raw materials to fabricate moderately complex components. You will read and interpret technical drawings to fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and operational requirements CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Accurately interprets engineered drawings, including weld symbols and dimensions; follows red-line processes and suggests modifications or improvements when appropriate. • Troubleshoots and repairs issues related to consumables, such as spring liners and tip nozzle insulators. • Performs essential welding tasks and operates basic hand and power tools, including chipping hammers and grinders. • Accurately records work hours in the ERP system (currently SAP). • Supports and drives continuous improvement initiatives; participates in daily housekeeping and 5S audits to maintain a clean and efficient work environment. • Diagnoses and resolves machine and equipment issues, including faulty consumables. • Collaborates effectively with supervisors, managers, and team members to ensure timely production of high-quality products. QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or GED certificate • 3 + years of welding experience • Experience welding stainless steel • Proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GMAW-P, TIG, and Carbon Arc welding from blueprints. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Training and certification opportunities available. Welders are called to use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
