Take charge of the NAP auto welder to craft precision pipe assemblies that meet and exceed customer specs. You’ll prep, set up, and operate the machine welder while ensuring every weld is top-quality. When needed, you’ll jump in to support other key shop processes like threading, grooving, and cutting—keeping production running strong. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Operate and set up the NAP auto welder to produce precise, leak-free pipe assemblies. • Read fabrication sheets/drawings and support shop work including threading, grooving, cutting, and plasma prep. • Inspect and repair welds to ensure watertight quality and customer specifications. • Follow all OSHA and safety standards while performing routine maintenance and keeping the work area clean. • Collaborate with team members to keep production efficient, accurate, and on track. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Skilled in operating and maintaining the NAP auto welder or similar automated welding equipment. • Proficient in MIG welding and plasma cutting; must pass a weld test. • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication sheets. • Familiar with fabrication tools: saws, groovers, threaders, and other shop machinery. • Strong attention to detail to meet precise weld and cut specifications. • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe shop practices. • Effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills. • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. • Accurate with tape-measure readings and measurements. Education & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required. • 1+ year of welding experience, ideally in fabrication or manufacturing. • Welding certification or equivalent training preferred. Certifications & Licenses • Hand and/or Machine Welding certifications. • Ability to pass powered industrial equipment operator exams. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Physical Demands & Work Environment • Frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials. • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional handling of pipe up to 100 lbs. • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, shop conditions, and moderate noise. • Must remain alert and always work safely.

Overview Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates welding equipment. Responsibilities • Operates welding equipment. • MIG, TIG, and other types of welding equipment. • Operates torches, plasma cutter, grinders, brake, shear, saw and other metal fabricating equipment. • Welds or fabricates a variety of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel and a variety of carbon steels. • Reads Engineering Prints. • Understands dimensions and tolerancing. • Verifies conformance to specified requirements. • Provides minor maintenance on welding and fabricating equipment. • Uses PL software to determine schedule of parts to be manufactured. Miscellaneous Responsibilities • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
