Position: Full-Time Welder Fabricator Shift: Day Shift, starting at 7:00 AM Location: 1219 N. Mission St. Mount Pleasant, MI 48858 What You’ll Do: • Weld with Precision: Use your MIG welding skills to create steel products, following blueprints, layouts, and work orders to ensure accuracy and quality. • Collaborate for Quality: Work closely with Quality Control to ensure each part meets our high standards, and follow the Welding Foreman's direction to prioritize tasks and stay organized. • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Bring your ability to read blueprints and drawings to life in every project. • Custom Work: Maintain attention to detail, even with repetitive tasks, and adapt when working on custom jobs. • Clean and Finish: Clean and degrease joints, remove excess weld, slag, and spatter to ensure top-notch finishes. • Tool and Machine Operation: Safely operate powered hand tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes as part of your day-to-day duties. • Measure with Accuracy: Utilize tape measures and other tools with attention to detail to ensure precise measurements. • Be a Team Player: Arrive on time and be ready to roll up your sleeves, with flexibility for overtime or weekend work when needed. What We’re Looking For: • MIG Welding Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on MIG welding experience. • Forklift Skills: Preferred, but not required. • Measuring Skills: Comfortable with a tape measure and dedicated to getting it right. • Positive Attitude: A can-do attitude, a good work ethic, and a commitment to getting the job done right. At times and dependent upon area of assignment, may be required to lift over 50 lbs. but less than 100lbs. Required to push and pull with arms and hands tools and material. Dependent upon area of assignment may be required to work from a ladder or work from heights utilizing fall protection program. Requirements of physical demands and exposure to dust and noise associated with industrial environments. TIER LEVEL: • Tier I: Employees in this tier are considered entry level to the position. This level of employee is under direct supervision as they learn the skills and duties of this position. • Tier II: Employees in this position have developed the skills required to perform the work assignment. There is supervisor involvement checking completed work for quality. • Tier III: Employees in this position have mastered the skills required to perform the job.
