Job Summary We’re seeking a skilled Solar Lead Installer / Service Technician to join our growing team in Redding, CA! This is an immediate opening as we’re completing several solar projects before year-end and more for next year. The position involves installing and servicing residential and new construction solar systems. Applicants should have at least 3 years of direct experience with photovoltaic (PV) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in electrical work, hold an OSHA 10 or 30 certification, and be confident leading installs while guiding and supporting junior team members. Some travel will be required depending on project locations. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and carry out the installation of PV and ESS systems in compliance with local codes and regulations • Assemble and mount racking systems, solar modules, and electrical components according to project plans • Commission solar and battery systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation • Diagnose and repair solar or battery system issues during service calls • Perform routine maintenance on installed systems as needed • Manage daily workload and meet project deadlines efficiently • Track inventory and maintain adequate materials and supplies • Keep job sites organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards • Complete and submit all required documentation and reports • Assist in the training and development of newer installers and technicians Requirements & Qualifications • Minimum 3 years of experience in residential PV and ESS installation/service • Strong electrical knowledge (Journeyman license or similar preferred) • OSHA 10 or 30 certification required • Technical or trade school training in solar, electrical, or construction fields preferred • Previous experience in roofing, construction, or carpentry a plus • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, solar panels, inverters, batteries, panel boards, and other related equipment • Must be comfortable working outdoors, on roofs, and at various heights • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance • Work may require entering confined spaces such as attics or crawl spaces • Travel required based on project needs — candidates must be able to travel for up to two weeks at a time What We Offer • Competitive pay with room for growth and advancement • Join a team with a strong reputation in the solar industry • Opportunity to work on diverse residential and new-build installations • Supportive, safety-focused, and team-oriented work environment Interested in joining our team?
