Solar Design Assistant

Job Overview Immediate opening!! A fast-growing, locally owned solar installation company is in need of a full-time Solar Design Assistant. The Solar Design Assistant will use AutoCAD software, energy analysis software and other information to assist in designing solar systems based on the needs of each individual customer and should possess mechanical aptitude, with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations and read plans. This position requires flexibility, ability to work independently and as a part of a team, multi-task, and good organizational skills. The Assistant Solar Designer will report to the Project Development Manager and may assist other team members on projects. Job duties - include but are not limited to the following: Read Plans, Usage & True-Up Evaluations, Proposal Design, Proposal Prep, Draft Plans & Revisions, Material Lists, O&M Reports, Data Entry, and assisting with System Monitoring. Knowledge in the following is preferred: -AutoCAD/Google Sketch-up/Architectural Software. -Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) -The ability to perform mathematical equations. -Background in Solar is a major plus but not required.
