Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work at heights. Responsibilities - Install solar panels on rooftops and other structures in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation. - Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks. - Conduct electrical work including wiring, connecting systems, and ensuring proper voltage levels using voltmeters. - Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during installation processes. - Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations regarding high voltage systems. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times. - Assist in the training of new team members on installation techniques and safety practices. Experience - Previous experience in solar installation or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. - Familiarity with electrical systems, including commercial electrician experience, is highly desirable. - Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics to guide installation processes. - Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and high voltage equipment is essential. - Ability to work at heights safely while performing installations on roofs or elevated structures. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
