Position Specific Description This position will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of large-scale universal solar and/or battery facilities within the state of Florida. This role will be based in Ft Myers and support the West Florida Region. Responsibilities: • Serve as the site safety manager ensuring all personnel and equipment onsite are safe and that the site/s comply with environmental regulations and required regulatory permits. • Spend significant time in the field (outside), conducting routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment. • Troubleshoot and undertake corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency.. • Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements. • Utilize monitoring software and tools to regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies. • Generate performance reports and maintain accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work progress, challenges, and recommendations. • Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of solar facilities. • Be on-call and responsible for West FL Region sites, coordinating with the Renewables Operation Control Center, OEMs, vendors, and contractors as required. Working weekends and nights outages is required at times. Qualifications: • Highly motivated with a strong bias for action and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering highly preferred. • Previous PV solar and battery experience highly desired.
