Maintenance Engineer

Position: Maintenance Engineer 3 Maintenance Engineer 3 Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | 3rd Shift - Nights | This position is based out of Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will also make extra money per hour (shift differentials) when working swing, night, and weekend hours! Position Summary The Maintenance Engineer III (Shift Engineer) for Asante will perform skilled work within this specialty on a variety of equipment, machinery, buildings, and electrical systems throughout Asante facilities. In this role, the Maintenance Engineer may maintain a variety of equipment and systems ranging from the very basic to the complex, including critical equipment and systems. May also serve as a technical expert in a trade specialty and guide the work of others, as well as serving as a Lead or Project Manager on assigned construction projects within the Real Estate & Sustainable Planning Department. The Maintenance Engineer achieves the highest level of safety and reliability and ensures that maintenance, repair, construction, and/or retrofits meet all regulatory compliance standards and ensures optimum performance and efficiency to guarantee customer satisfaction. As a Maintenance Engineer III at Asante you will have the opportunity to: • Maintain a variety of equipment ranging from basic to complex and critical systems. • Serve as a technical expert in a trade specialty. • Serve as a Lead or Project Manager on assigned construction projects within the Real Estate & Sustainable Planning department. • Train and guide others, including new employees. Qualifications Education • Associates degree or certification from a recognized trade school or military training program, preferred. Experience • 5 years previous hospital maintenance or equivalent military / vendor / contractor-related maintenance experience is required. • Previous training in OSHA, NFPA, DNV Compliance standards, preferred. • Fire alarm, nurse call system installation experience, preferred. • Facilities management systems such as Metasys, JC85/40, Tracer systems experience, preferred. • Pneumatic HVAC control or DDC installation or related training experience, preferred. • Documentation of high-pressure boiler experience, preferred. • Experience with LEED projects or other Certified Sustainability Program, preferred. Certifications • Possession of a valid Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of auto insurance is required. Must obtain Oregon Driver's License within 30 days of moving to Oregon (if applicable). • Journeyman HVAC/R, or Journeyman Plumbing Certification issued by the State of Oregon, preferred. • LEED AP (Accredited Professional), preferred. Mechanic - Entry level

Description: Southern Oregon Sanitation is committed to operating the safest, most reliable truck fleet in the industry. In order to meet this commitment, we depend on our team of Mechanics to inspect, evaluate, maintain and repair our fleet of 35 diesel trucks with a drive that puts us on the road and “ahead of the curve”. We currently have an opening for a mechanic to join our team. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: perform timely inspections, troubleshoot/repair all mechanical problems, respond to driver calls on route, maintain accurate and thorough service records and log books. Our ideal candidate is competent in all areas of diesel truck servicing, an insatiable problem solver, a self-starter, and a team player that recognizes the vision of the company to operate “ahead of the curve” and the vital role the mechanics play in achieving that vision. Requirements: • A minimum of 3 years of vehicle repair and routine maintenance is required. • Experience with welding and proficiently using a variety of hand and power tools. • Be able to adhere to safety protocols and regulations when working with tools, machinery and potentially hazardous materials. • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles • Be able to work and complete projects both in a team environment as well as on your own Applicant must be insurable by Liability Insurance Company Hours: 40 hour work week with specific hours set by Head Mechanic per needs of shop, SOS is a drug free work place.
