The Mechanical Drafter is a key role in EMIT’s Engineering Department. This position is responsible for creating and updating technical drawings using SolidWorks, supporting engineering change processes, and ensuring documentation accuracy. The drafter will collaborate with engineers to translate concepts into precise, manufacturable drawings. Key Accountabilities: • Prepare and update detailed drawings using SolidWorks: 50% • Process and implement engineering change orders (ECOs): 25% • Revise and maintain drawing documentation for manufacturing and quality: 15% • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and completeness: 10% Qualifications: • Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with drafting standards • Minimum of a 2-year degree in Drafting, CAD, Mechanical Design, or a related field • Experience working with engineering change orders and drawing revision control • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to interpret and create mechanical drawings and schematics We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
