Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, program, and troubleshoot electrical control systems for industrial equipment and automated machinery. Job Description A Senior Electrical Controls Engineer is a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing electrical control systems, often within a specific industry like manufacturing or infrastructure. They lead projects, provide technical guidance, and ensure projects meet standards and regulations. This role involves a blend of engineering expertise, project management, and leadership. Senior Electrical Controls Engineer JOB SUMMARY Designs, develops, constructs, and tests electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment and machinery. Responsible for the electrical design, programmable logic controller (PLC) and Motion Control programming and testing. Responsible for daily technical oversight and guidance to the manufacturing engineering team. Requires working on the production floor troubleshooting process issues, adjusting process parameters, and documenting procedures. Partners with R&D, Quality, and Production to develop assembly, testing and design reviews on electronic control heads. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direction for electrical controls engineering standards throughout the manufacturing process. Produces project documentation that includes prints and engineering files, supplier communications and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Maintains electrical control systems on production equipment. Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment and machinery. Reads schematics and layouts and supports best design protocol and analysis. Contributes to the team with a proven knowledge applicable to one or more of the following fields: analog and digital sensors, PLC Controls, software design and development, and pneumatic controls. Provides production support to maintain quality and production output to budgets. Troubleshoots and designs solutions to improve equipment reliability. Collaborates with Operations, R&D, Quality, and outside suppliers through new product development stages of new products, process methods, assembly plans.
