Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineer supports and improves production processes by applying engineering principles to design, implement, and refine manufacturing systems in an industrial environment. Responsibilities • Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods. • Provide technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long-range plant and product engineering planning. • Prepare product or system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics. • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform design-related tasks. • Direct and coordinate the manufacture of new products, components, processes, and prototype designs. • Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product. • Analyze test data to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications. • Perform additional tasks as needed to support continuous improvement initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and plant-wide efficiency goals. Education and/or Experience • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required. • Familiarity with PLC programming, data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab or Excel PivotTables), and ERP systems preferred. • Electrical curriculum with design experience in the power industry is preferred. • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing is highly preferred Language Skills • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Product Engineer II

Description: PRODUCT ENGINEER II: Plans, schedules, organizes and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work with specific focus on product modifications and application projects. In addition, performs work that involves conventional R & D, and Product Design. This position may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting Design and Manufacturing requirements. INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Lead Engineer. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. Requirements: AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to: a) Research and Development. b) Product Design & Improvement. c) Professional engineering & quality documentation within the field of product development. d) Cooperation with operational units based on project scope. e) Production of accurate work. f) Management of assigned projects and engineering activities, supervise and review work results of assigned team members. g) Ability to make informed decisions based on complexity of project and impact for the company. h) Identify potential risks and hazards of products within responsibility. i) Clarification and coordination of engineering questions with lead engineers, other operational units, suppliers and if required with customers. j) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position. REQUIREMENTS: a) Command of standardized JOST CAD Software. b) Completion of Engineering Degree (Bachelor's) with Mechanical or comparable skills, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in product design. c) Highly dependable, motivated with self-management characteristics. d) High level of attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work. e) Excellent communication, verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills. f) Successful at multi-tasking and has the ability to successfully handle multiple projects at various stages of completion. g) Must be able to work with others in a team environment. h) Ability to gain knowledge, interpret and adhere to JOST International Basic Processes. i) Travel 5%-15% per year, as required. j) Knowledge and Experience with FMEA processes. k) Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
