BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Performs a variety of duties assisting in the development of mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components. To apply standard practices and techniques in mechanical disciplines in providing support for ongoing manufacturing, engineering and related technical projects and programs. Duties and Responsibilities: Manually remove machining imperfections from metal components.Sand, deburr, polish, grind, and clean metal parts using hand and power tools. Install a variety of hardware using a mix of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools. Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Inspects parts on the shop floor and stacks parts in storage cabinets. Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with Security Clearance

Torch is seeking a degreed engineer to provide advisory and assistance services in support of a DOD ACAT I program. A successful candidate will have a history of experience in performing systems engineering responsibilities. The candidate will be a central touchpoint responsible for technical oversight of work developing carriage & release equipment responsible for the interface between a major weapons system and it''''s host aircraft. The candidate will lead the charge in the Functional Configuration Audit and System Verification Review. Carriage and release equipment represents a significant piece of equipment with critical mechanical and electrical engineering work involved. As such, any Mechanical (BSME), Electrical (BSEE), or Systems Engineering degreed individual would be a good candidate for this position if they can apply good technical judgment across the spectrum and know when to pull in support from the disciplines which are not their own.
