Job Description: • This position performs aircraft quality control inspections in relation to aircraft maintenance, modifications, and material/parts receiving to ensure compliance with all specifications, processes, and directives. • The position reviews all maintenance and inspection documents, reports, and forms for compliance and proper completion in accordance with customer and company policy. • Generates, tracks, and maintains all required quality assurance inspection documentation for the items, inclusive of non-conformances and applicable metrics for compliance tracking. Responsibilities: • Responsible to ensure quality requirements are performed and documented in accordance with applicable regulations regarding maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of aircraft, engine, and aircraft components/parts. • Provide technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, rigging, instruments, test flights, etc. in determining document sign off, safety, airworthiness, or conformance. • Reviews paperwork ensuring that all work has been documented properly, completed, and filed in accordance with customer and company standards. Interpret and check prints, both hard copy and electronic, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications. • Perform materials/Parts receiving Inspections ensuing products meet contract requirements and to determine conformity to blueprint/drawings. • Use precision measuring guides, gauges, and laboratory instruments. • Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company safety procedures. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Broad working knowledge of aircraft maintenance, inspection techniques, FAA regulations, and technical publications. • Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications. • Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. • Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. • Basic computer data entry skills required for use of maintenance and logistics databases. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Required five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arm, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work on ladders or maintenance stands. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Have experience operating lawn mowing equipment, power tools and plumbing equipment. Be agreeable to working a flex schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Extended hours and on-call may also be required. Additional preference will be given to candidates with two years of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing or electrical or mechanical equipment; or Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or one of the building trades can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
