Job Title: CNC Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating various CNC machinery, including CNC Turning centers and CNC Milling Horizontal centers. You will receive cross-training in CNC machines like Mazak and Multiplex. Responsibilities • Operate CNC machinery in the facility. • Perform cross-training on CNC machines and mills. • Work with CNC Turning centers, including horizontal and vertical machines, 3 to 4 axis, sub-spindles, live tooling, and bar stock feeders. • Complete changeovers on vertical mills. • Direct mill work, including offsets, loading and unloading parts, deburring, and quality checks. • Read and interpret blueprints. • Conduct quality inspections using CMM and GD&T. • Work with raw castings and perform vertical sets. Essential Skills • 1-3 years of CNC lathe or mill operating experience. • 1 year of experience changing tooling and fixtures. • 1 year of blueprint reading experience. • 1 year of experience reading micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment. • 3+ years of CNC lathe or mill operating experience for OP2 Tier. • 3+ years of blueprint reading experience for Set OP1 Tier. • 5+ years of CNC lathe setup experience for Set OP2 Tier. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with CNC mills and lathes, including Mazaks and the person. • Proficiency in using micrometers and quality inspection tools. • Ability to work with tolerances as tight as +/- .5. CNC Machinist - Set up

CNC Machinist II Position Summary The CNC Machinist II produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet‘s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics. Principle Responsibilities • Operate and Set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings. • Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained. • Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear. • Ensure product quality is achieved by working to operator owned quality (OOQ) standards and requirements including using a range of measuring equipment and interpreting readings. • Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule. • Perform hand finishing. • Always Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Document Practices (GMP/GDP) including completion of job routers/ cards. • Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimize risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health & Environmental issues. • Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways of improving productivity. • Record all activities in a timely manner on the job tracking system. • Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities. • Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required. • Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area. • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor Qualification Requirements Credentials/Experience: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required • 3+ years CNC Machining experience. Reviews blueprints, method sheets and specifications to determine loading procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished workpiece. 4. Working this cell includes operating multiple machines simultaneously while washing/rustproofing finished parts and packaging into containers for shipping. 5. Performs daily maintenance to ensure equipment and work area are always clean and organized. Offers suggestions to make improvements to product flow and/or processes whenever possible. 6. May be trained in changing tools, making offset adjustments, and verifying changes to progress to Operator II. This training is under the supervision of the Cell Leader only. 7. May be cross-trained to run CNC Milling center machines. Setup Operator Turning 1. Reviews methods sheet, blueprints and specifications to determine setup procedure, allotted setup time, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece. 2. Assembles cutting tools in recommended holders, installs in appropriate turret locations, measures each tool length using the tool eye and describes each tool within the control per the setup sheet. Configure bar feeder when required. Notify Cell Leader or Operations Manager of any deviations from standard tooling. 3. Use appropriate method to find the offsets as described in the setup instructions. When required, teach transfer position as described in the setup instructions. 4. Complete the setup in a timely fashion by proofing the cycle, submitting a first piece to Quality, working with Engineering/Op Manager to make adjustments, and receiving the approval to run. 5. Assemble all appropriate gages to inspect the workpiece. Organize the work area to promote a smooth process flow. 6. Train and mentor operator level I and II on how to properly load the material, run the cycle, and inspect per the method and inspection documents. Operating 1. Operates CNC lathe machine. Produces manufactured parts and routinely inspects parts to ensure high quality. Inserts stock piece, closes door, punches appropriate controls to start and stop the process. Performs daily maintenance to ensure equipment and work area are always clean and organized. Offers suggestions to make improvements to product flow and/or processes whenever possible. 6. Mentor and assist Operator I and II. May be asked to assist in changing tools, making offset adjustments, and verifying changes to for Operator I. 7. May be trained in CNC setup as experience progresses. 8. May be cross trained to run CNC Milling center machines.
