Machinist

Primary Accountability: The Machinist will read and interpret work orders and blueprints to complete machined projects in a safe, quality and efficient manner. This position requires someone that is detail oriented with strong machining skills and the ability to complete routine to intricate projects. Key Responsibilities • Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine work requirements. • Utilize CNC and manual mills and lathes in a safe and efficient manner, and in accordance with IMI standards, to produce custom parts • * Machined parts are generally single piece parts, or very low quantity, so expect several changeovers with the use of multiple machines within a given day. • Programming CNC instructions for the vertical mill and lathe will be required. • When machining work is not needed, this position will be required to run other production machines, such as saws, laser, and brake. • Aid the estimation department in machine capabilities and estimating run time and setup time of work. • Prepare and set up equipment and supplies required to perform work assignments. • Self-inspect quality of work to ensure it meets IMI and customer expectations. • Attend company training programs and follow procedures as outlined in training. • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment. • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and department managers. CNC Machinist - TFI

Description • Oversee cutting process and modify machine feeds and speeds, tooling and cutting style when necessary to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts • Operate cutting edge CNC machines including lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc. • Review and interpret prints • Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity Requirements • Detail oriented, creative, and tech-savvy • Values precision and enforces quality standards • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Safely operate machining and manufacturing equipment • Strong organizational and planning skills • High School diploma or equivalent required • CNC Machinist vocation certification preferred • Experience with CNC machining preferred • Working knowledge of using calibrated measurement devices and manufacturing software preferred • Knowledge of tooling, machinery, and manufacturing applications preferred • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future • Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies TFI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
