Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for producing the highest quality garage doors and components. Your role involves overseeing the roll forming machinery and ensuring compliance with safe work and quality assurance practices. Responsibilities • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot roll forming equipment to produce high-quality, damage-free products. • Perform all quality checks and complete necessary documentation, including tags, quality, scrap, and rejections. • Utilize various quality measurement tools like gauges and tape measures to ensure product specifications are met. • Set up, operate, and adjust equipment including roll formers and embossers. • Interpret and execute run sheets and reports to change widths, gauges, and cutoff dies as needed. • Maintain maximum efficiency of the roll former and ensure the flow of material ahead of production lines. • Identify and articulate quality concerns or maintenance issues to stakeholders for effective solutions. • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure general housekeeping. • Assist in training related to roll forming processes. • Assume additional duties as assigned by leadership. Essential Skills • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in steel manufacturing. • Ability to read blueprints and layouts to ensure proper production and prevent damage. • Proficiency in computer applications, scanners, and tablets. • Strong safety practices in all activities. • Critical thinking and documentation skills.
