Summary – CNC Machinist: As a CNC Machinist you would be responsible for machining parts to customer specifications, which will include setting up the machinery, operating the machinery, and checking produced parts for quality assurance. You will be able to machine parts with very little rework and high quality in a timely manner. SHIFT: All Shifts PAY: $26.01-$29.51 Primary Responsibilities • Will work individually and as a team with other machine operators. • Will be responsible for repairing and monitoring the use of tooling. • Use problem solving skills to improve machine productivity and quality. Candidate should be detailed oriented, responsible for precision machine work, reading blueprints, perform set-ups, programing and operational functions on CNC lathe and mill. Duties/Responsibilities • Ability to read process sheets and blueprints of job to determine machining operations, dimensional specifications, set up, and first part verification process. • Programming machine to cut specific parts and runs. • Efficient use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.) • Mounting, installing, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and work-pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments • Calculating machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts • Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specification using operation certification knowledge • Experience in how to evaluate, diagnoses, troubleshoot systems and perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment • Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices • Works with team to increase quality and productivity of CNC processes • Any other duties as assigned. Required Skills • Mill machining experience • Live tooling experience • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly. • Excellent mathematical and computer skills. • Fanuc and Mastercam experience is a plus!
