CNC Machinist (1st Shift, 4 Day Work Week)

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, primarily Mazak machines, while independently developing programs using Mazatrol and/or E.I.A. G-code. This CNC Machinist role involves running both repeat production and custom short-run jobs, performing in-process inspections to ensure quality, and making necessary tooling adjustments and offset changes to maintain precision. Candidates should be able to follow specifications closely and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work area. Job Requirements:The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a production or job-shop setting and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with strong skills in reading blueprints and interpreting standard shop documentation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in short-run contract work, solid programming abilities in Mazatrol and/or E.I.A. G-code, and comfort working with a variety of materials such as steel and plastics. Familiarity with Mastercam is a plus. The Material Handler / Machine Operator will produce plastic goods and flooring material. The Machine Operator is responsible for essential tasks relating to the grinding and production operation. Duties include Grinding scrap mats and excess trim for re-use in the extrusion operations. Segregating material by color and durometer in preparation for grinding. Weighing ground material and completing all job related documentation. Seeking those with material handler and machine operator experience, or those with strong production or manufacturing backgrounds. Job Requirements:Must follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to read a digital scale and possess basic math skills. Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Previous material handler, machine operator, or production experience is required.
