Machine Operators Stahl Specialty Company is seeking Machine Operators. We have immediate openings in our Warrensburg and Kingsville, MO plants. Full time Foundry and Machining opportunities on the day, evening and night shifts are available. Competitive wages plus a 9% or 6% shift bonus for evening and overnight shifts. Purpose of Position: Basic production machining and quality checking of aluminum parts. Major Tasks: -Read, understand and follow Safety Instruction, Process Sheets, Process Control Documents, and related Quality or Operational System Documents. -Use computer to clock in, job on, job off, and clock out daily. Accurately record production activity against proper router codes. -Clean work areas, machines, fixtures, and parts as required. Remove parts from container (as directed by process sheet, either manually or with material handling equipment). -Visually check for defects, straighten, file, debur and hand tap parts as required. Load and clamp parts onto machining equipment and unclamp and remove parts. -Operate machining equipment and continuously monitor for proper operation. May operate multiple machines concurrently. -Check parts for confirmation to specifications, using appropriate gages as indicated on the control plan. Place part into/onto appropriate container for next operation. -Fill out routing sheets to identify the progression of parts in process. - Other duties as assigned. Required Skills: - Proficiency in general math, for the development and maintenance of SPC charts. - Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time. Ability to frequently bend, lift- Frequent lifting of castings weighing between 25-75. Occasional lifting of castings in excess of 75 pounds. Frequent lifting of hand tools weighing between 1-5 pounds. Frequent carrying of castings weighing between 25-75 pounds, between caster and containers. Occasional lifting of castings in excess of 75 pounds. - Strength in arms and legs to handle molten aluminum and to maneuver castings and manually operated material handling equipment. -Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. -Ability to write legibly. -Must be able to complete a drug and background screen.
