CNC Machinist- 1st Shift

SUMMARY Ultra-Tech, Inc. is currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists for 1st shift. Hours for the position are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm with overtime being worked on Friday as needed. The CNC Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC machine while maintaining quality, safety standards, records, and equipment. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations. This includes aligning and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto the machine. • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. • Measure, examine or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometer, calipers, or other measuring instruments. • Document actions by completing required paperwork (Inspection documents, Travelers). Perform minor mechanical and assembly work as needed. • Must possess their own tools and be willing to multitask and cross-train on all machines, as required. • Share expertise and knowledge throughout the machine shop. • Always follow all safety policies and procedures. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma/GED. • Minimum of 2 years machining experience with advanced knowledge of machining operations and tolerances. • Must understand basic math and geometric tolerances. • Ability to read blueprints, engineering plans, procedure manuals and work instructions. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Must have a positive, “can do” attitude. • Motivated, self-starter, must take on new roles and responsibilities as needed. • Customer focused. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, with overtime being worked on Fridays as needed. There may be times where there is an expectation to work extended hours as dictated by business needs. Tooling Quality Assurance Technician -- Dimensional & Cosmetic Inspection

Our products reach customers through distributors, retailers, and industry‑leading online channels. A day in this role You’ll begin by reviewing the day’s orders and priorities. From there, you’ll rotate between conducting internal tests, completing internal checks, and performing detailed cosmetic inspections on drywall tools. Between picks and put-aways, you’ll verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and the CMM, ensure products meet our quality standards before shipment, and document your findings.
