Pay: $28-$38 - Dependent on experience Shift: 1st shift - 8:00am - 4:30pm - Monday-Friday (some overtime available) Location: Stamford, CT Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with advanced machining skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting up and operating both 3-axis CNC milling machines and conventional mills and lathes. You will be responsible for generating and optimizing toolpaths and G-code using CAM software, with a preference for Mastercam experience. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines and conventional mills and lathes. • Generate and optimize toolpaths and G-code using CAM software (Mastercam preferred). • Maintain tolerances of 0.003” using manual milling and turning operations. • Perform basic parts joining, including soldering, brazing, and welding (TIG/MIG/arc). • Conduct electro-mechanical assembly, including wiring and plumbing. • Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T standards. • Handle multiple tasks efficiently, including troubleshooting and changeovers. • Perform light programming and set-ups using Prototrack, lathe mills, and manual lathes. Essential Skills: • Advanced machining skills. • 2+ years of experience with CNC and conventional machines. • Proficiency in CAM software, particularly Mastercam. • Ability to maintain tight tolerances in manual operations. • Strong computer skills in CAD/CAM and business software. Additional Skills & Qualifications: • NIMS (or equivalent) certifications preferred. • Experience with calipers, micrometers, scales, protractors, and shadow graphs. We currently have several full-time Production Machinist opportunities to join our dynamic group in various departments on all shifts. Production Machinists use machinery to create and assemble machined pin connectors used in the electronics industry. They are generally assigned to one or more machines and expected to meet a production quota. They must always monitor their machines to ensure that they are working properly; when they are not, troubleshooting may be necessary. Reading blueprints and shop drawings is an essential part of the position and basic arithmetic skills are necessary in order to properly measure items needed in production. Much of the work is done independently so it is important to be self-driven. Attention to detail is also important, as the goods produced must be assessed for quality. If goods are not coming out as they should, the machinist should evaluate the situation to determine what is wrong.
