Pay: $25-$35/hr Shift: 1st shift Location: Stamford, CT Job Description: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with advanced machining skills. This role requires experience in setting up and operating both 3-axis CNC milling machines and conventional mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in generating and optimizing toolpaths and G-code using CAM software, with a preference for Mastercam. You will be responsible for maintaining tight tolerances and performing various parts joining and electro-mechanical assembly tasks. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines and conventional mills and lathes. • Generate and optimize toolpaths and G-code using CAM software (Mastercam preferred). • Maintain tolerances of 0.003” using manual milling and turning operations. • Perform basic parts joining, such as soldering, brazing, and welding (TIG/MIG/arc). • Conduct electro-mechanical assembly, including wiring and plumbing. • Utilize CAD/CAM software and business software for job details input. • Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T. • Handle multiple tasks and assist with troubleshooting and changeovers. • Perform light programming and set-ups on Prototrack, lathe mill, and manual lathe. • Advanced machining skills. • 2+ years of experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines. • 2+ years of experience setting up and operating conventional mills and lathes. • Experience with CAM software for generating and optimizing toolpaths and G-code (Mastercam preferred). • Ability to maintain tolerances of 0.003” with manual milling and turning operations. • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and business software. • Efficient in interpreting engineering drawings using GD&T.
